1940 Census: Finding Rebecca Baylor

Looking back over family records, it's still a puzzle where my mom could be in 1940.

Once the 1940 Census was released, the journey to connect the gap in my family tree was in full gear.  Researching many census records prior to, and after the indexing was labor intensive.  However, it was a labor of love.  Tracing family in the 1940 Census confirmed in some cases, what I already knew.  It provided a clear track on where the family lived, and in others opened up new mysteries.

My mother Rebecca Baylor, is one of those mysteries for me in the 1940 Census.  After researching over and over she still cannot be located.  However, it's a search that doesn't stop.  One looks every now and then with the hopes that an update might appear in one of the databases (Ancestry/Family Search) due to some type of transcription error.  A child at the age of 12, somewhere unaccounted for possibly between states; a mystery to unfold.  The journey continues.....
